You can freshen up and relax for the day, as your Rajasthan tour will begin the following day. In the evening, explore the local market, taste local delicacies, shop for beautiful items, and end your day with a dinner. You will stay overnight in Jaipur.
2
Forts, Palaces and Royal Jaipur
A tour around India begins with an opportunity to explore the world-famous Amber Fort and enjoy the royal splendor of Sheesh Mahal with its stunning brilliance of mirrors. You will also have a chance to visit the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar and capture the image of Hawa Mahal with hundreds of small windows for a perfect photo opportunity. In addition, you will be able to take a break at Jal Mahal and spend time shopping at local markets. The tour concludes with a traditional Rajasthani dinner followed by an overnight stay in Jaipur.
3
Journey to Holy Pushkar
Have a relaxed breakfast and drive for around 3 hours to the holy town of Pushkar. Discover the ancient Brahmin temple (one of the few existing temples of Lord Brahma in the world) and have a walk in the beautiful Pushkar Lake. The small bazaar is a good place to shop for silver jewelry and handmade bags or even taste street food snacks. As it is getting more quiet and night falls, you can just enjoy the gentle golden sunset from the ghats and overnight in Pushkar.
4
Drive to the City of Lakes, Udaipur
Enjoy a scenic drive to Udaipur, which takes about 5 to 6 hours with a short tea and rest stop on the way. Check in at your hotel and relax, as the day is kept light on purpose. In the evening, visit the green Sahelion Ki Bari garden with its fountains and take an easy walk beside the beautiful Fateh Sagar Lake as the city lights come on. Stay overnight in Udaipur.
5
Palaces and Lake Pichola, Udaipur
Begin at the City Palace, a huge royal complex on the banks of Lake Pichola, and then visit the nearby Jagdish Temple. After lunch, board a boat for a peaceful ride on the lake, with the old city and the Lake Palace floating beside you. This is often the favorite moment of the whole trip. Spend the evening in the markets looking for handicrafts and miniature paintings and stay overnight in Udaipur.
6
Ranakpur Temples and the Blue City, Jodhpur
Post breakfast, we leave for Udaipur to make our way towards Jodhpur. However, we make a brief halt at the famous Ranakpur Jain Temple. This temple located in a secluded valley is a masterpiece of marble with 1,444 intricately carved pillars, each one different from the other. Take a walk around the complex, marvel at the detail adorning the pillars, and soak in the tranquility of the place. It is here that the children are found to behave the best; perhaps they feel the most connected to the serenity on offer at this temple. Soon, you are back on the road. The drive takes a while, but you will be able to reach the Blue City of Jodhpur by afternoon, a unique sight with all the blue-painted houses surrounding the fort. Check into your hotel and spend some time in the evening to freshen up before trying out the local Marwari cuisine in the evening. You can then call it a day by staying overnight in Jodhpur.
7
Mehrangarh Fort to Golden Jaisalmer
Start your day by exploring the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, located on a hilltop overlooking the blue-hued houses of the old city, and visit the white marble of the neighboring Jaswant Thada. After driving for about five hours to reach Jaisalmer, the Golden City (with a stop for lunch along the way), spend the evening seeing the golden hues of the desert at the Sam Sand Dunes, where you may also choose to take a camel ride and enjoy folk music (at your own expense) before returning for dinner and an overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
8
Jaisalmer Fort, Havelis and Desert Charm
A discovery of the history of Jaisalmer, home to one of the world's few inhabited forts, with its inhabitants still living and shopping. Admire the intricate carving on the Patwon Ki Haveli and take a walk around the beautiful gardens surrounding the beautiful Gadisar Lake. The rest of the day is yours to spend exploring the local markets, where you will find unique mirror-work textiles, leather goods, and souvenirs. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
9
Jaisalmer to the Royal City of Bikaner
After having breakfast, we will start for our long drive back to Bikaner through the Thar Desert which would take around 5 to 6 hours. Explore the fascinating Junagarh fort, which is one of the few forts in India, that was never captured by any enemy, witness the royal splendor and exquisite murals adorning the palaces and man-made courtyards. Later, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure and savor a simple Rajasthani meal. Overnight in Bikaner.
10
Bikaner to Jaipur and Farewell
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and start the drive of about 6 hours from Bikaner to Jaipur, with a break on the way for lunch.
