FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

May to September is the best time, when roads and high passes are open and the weather is pleasant. June to August is peak season, while early May and late September offer fewer crowds and snow on the mountains.

The most important thing is to rest completely on your first day, drink plenty of water, and avoid alcohol and smoking. This itinerary keeps the first two days light in Leh so your body adjusts slowly, and an oxygen cylinder is carried as backup.

Yes, Indian travelers need an Inner Line Permit for these areas, and we arrange it for you. Just carry a valid government photo ID, and foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit.

Only postpaid connections work in Ladakh, as prepaid SIMs from other states do not get networked here. In Leh you'll find good coverage, while Nubra, Turtuk, and Pangong have very limited or no network.

Pack warm layers, a heavy jacket, thermals, a woollen cap, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, and comfortable walking shoes. Nights at Nubra and Pangong get very cold even in summer, so pack extra warm clothes.
