Arrive at Kochi airport, and meet our representative, who will escort you to your hotel for a short rest. Discover Fort Kochi and marvel at the giant Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, and the many antique shops in Jew Town. Drive up into the cool western ghats. The road winds through misty hills and green spice estates on the way in. Visit the magnificent Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, followed by a visit to the Napier Museum housed in an interesting building of traditional architecture (modest dress is required for visiting temples). Alternatively, an afternoon excursion to the mangroves by boat, going to Poovar Island, which is joined to the mainland by a narrow strip of land and where the backwaters give way to a golden sand beach.
